Vedanta Umeed aims to rehabilitate India’s prison population by providing them with tools to secure livelihood after the end of their jail terms. Vedanta Umeed was first launched in Tihar Jail, South Asia’s largest jail. After it received a tremendous positive response, Vedanta Umeed was expanded to include various jails across India such as Rohini Jail in Delhi, Model and Women’s Jail in Lucknow, Dehradun Jail, Amravati Jail as well as jails in Vadodara, Ajmer and Bhopal. The project focuses on imparting |
