Despite universal acknowledgement that providing avenues of socio-economic development to women is the key to a better society, educational facilities for women at present are dismal. Vedanta Foundation has developed programs to empower women in an effort to rectify this anomaly.

1995. More popularly known as Ringus College, this institute currently enrolls 823 students primarily from 30-40 economically backward rural villages surrounding the college. The college offers residential facilities to its students. There are courses offered in Art and Science stream. |

Graduates of this program have gone on to pursue career paths from nurses at hospitals to teachers to police constables. Moreover the program continuously monitors its graduates' career progression by keeping in touch with them even after they have finished their programs. For women who are more anchored within their families by way of marriage, the Foundation provides vocational training in order to make them more self-reliant. |

At Vedanta Sakhi centres, women are taught how to become tailors, beauticians, mehendi designers etc. Women at these centres, apart from securing economic self-sufficiency have also displayed increased levels of self-confidence. |

Vedanta Shiksha initiated as a community outreach program to educate, enhance capacities and prepare the less privileged for the job market. As part of this program the Foundation works with low-income communities, mandals, slums and NGOs to provide vocational training to the less privileged. The aim of this project is to ensure that the poor are able to overcome their financial difficulties and acquire skills that will make them well-placed to secure good jobs in an ever-changing labour market. |
