Vedanta Computer Literacy Project
 
 
With a large emphasis being placed on computer literacy skills in the labour market, it has become important for the less privileged to be assisted in acquiring these skills. Since the start of Vedanta Literacy campaign, a large number of youth have availed of the basic computer courses offered by the foundation at computer centers spread out across India.
  The foundation reaches out extensively to educate and enhance the innate-qualities and prepare the less privileged for the greater career prospects through mandals, slums and NGO’s to provide vocational training and support the youth of low-income groups. The main objective is to encourage the less privileged build their careers according to the demands of the modern world and support them for placements into industries by collaborating with the companies.
 
The Literacy centers have experienced faculty who equip students with the ability to handle various jobs. Courses are structured to give the students practical training to prepare them for the job market. The Foundation is now tying up with other National and International organizations so as to enhance its credibility and increase student’s employability. The Foundation currently operates more than 322 Literacy Centers.
  The computer literacy center are spread in 28 states of the country and have benefited more than half a million children/ youth since its inception and employs more than 1000 people to implement the project.
