A Mass Marriage Program was organized by the Foundation on 25th May 2013. This arrangement was organized for 101 tribal couples at Mokhada village in Jawhar Taluka of Thane district, Maharashtra. In order to reduce the cost of organizing a wedding ceremony, maximum couples below the poverty line get married without any rituals, which are not accepted by the society which further creates a problem in future. Likewise, their children are deprived of admission due to lack of identification of their parents. This initiative by the Foundation aimed at helping tribal community from being subjected to such kind of social inclusion, thus, helping them to join the main stream. Mr. Baliram Jadhav, Palghar MP graced the occasion with his presence and blessings. The marriage rituals were conducted in a traditional fashion and there was no exchange of dowry or any ostentation. The Foundation donated basic necessities like silver jewelry, utensils, clothes etc., in the form of gifts to the newly wedded couples. The Foundation also envisions of organizing another event with regards to the same.
