Computer Literacy


The main aim of the project is to provide computer education to underprivileged section of the society and also assist them to get placements in the mainstreams.

  • Vocational Training Centers

The Foundation benefits students with basic computer training from over 250 centers located at every state in India that covers rural & semi urban areas. While the Foundation provides all the required hardware, software, course material, teachers and certificates for most of our projects, few projects take the help of the local association and NGO's who provide assistance with space provision and students enrollment. The programme has impacted over a million students making them job-ready.
The foundation initiated this program with one center in Mumbai and at present has multiplied into 250 centers Pan India. The main USP of this program was to provide computer education to underprivileged at low cost and deliver high output.

  • Vedanta E-Shiksha @Schools

This project aims at bridging the digital gap by providing computer education to the students at government schools.
The Vedanta E Shiksha @ Schools aims at bridging the Digital divide by providing quality E-Content for regular subjects and Basic Computer Literacy to rural schools across states in India. Quality Training of Teachers on usage of the content and incorporating computers in regular teaching learning process is a part of the program. Regular monitoring of the program in also undertaken by experienced and quality team members.

  • Umeed

Every human being born is not necessarily guilty but certain unfortunate circumstances make him a culprit. This program aimed at bringing such worthy, back to mainstreams by providing them computer training. Thus, this computer education program is also extended to jails across India. The project that is operated under this program is called ‘Umeed’. This project specifically aims at educating the jail inmates with basic computer training which they can utilize later upon their release. We also try and assist them in placement. This program started with one computer center at Tihar and now spreads across 42 jails in India. It has helped to position the foundation as one of the pioneers in human development as well as got recognized by the government for its efforts. Some of the industry majors also helped us in absorbing the skilled inmates through our placement program that is a unique example of sustainability and support to the underprivileged.

This Foundation maintains a low profile where branding is not a direct plan of action. Hence our motto is to reach out to the underprivileged and BPL as much as possible.
